Select a Supplement is an online sports and health supplement website that makes product recommendations through a goal-matching lookup system as well as selling through an ecommerce store.
Select a Supplement came to us as a start-up online business, requiring concepts, branding, design and development of an ecommerce website, CMS training, and hosting solutions. The client also wished to get the core site up and running before integrating more features over an allotted timescale.
We develop ecommerce systems on two major open-source platforms, Magento and Woocommerce. Although Magento is an excellent option, the backend CMS has a steep learning curve and requires more time for maintenance.
As the point of contact was to be performing the product updates, we chose Woocommerce for its intuitive backend which does not require any previous html or CSS knowledge to perform changes to the site or content.
Post-development CMS training was also provided via remote support sessions as per client requirements.
UK shipping and GBP were provided in the ecommerce core build, with the option for multi-currency & sale outside of the UK to be integrated at a later stage.
Creative Brand Design have achieved an ecommerce supplement store that provides both a user friendly backend for the client to work with, and also an intuitive UX for website users interacting with the frontend of the site.
The structure of the site appeals to their target market of gym goers and health conscious consumers with a simple, clean design that’s easy to navigate both on desktop and mobile devices.
